Marilyn Wedge, Ph.D.
Marilyn Wedge, Ph.D., is a family therapist in Westlake Village, California, with twenty years of experience helping children, teenagers, and families. She the author of the popular book: Pills are not for Preschoolers: A Drug-free Approach for Troubled Kids (W.W. Norton), as well as two other books and numerous professional articles. She contributes regularly to her blogs on The Huffington Post and Psychology Today, and is a popular speaker at conferences and parent groups. Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Natural Health, Parenting, and Los Angeles Parent Magazine. Dr. Wedge has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and had a post-doctoral fellowship at the Hastings Center for Bioethics. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Gene. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, reading and spending time with her grandsons Theo and Henry.
