Nicole Daedone: Slow Sex: How to Have a 3-Month Long Orgasm
Nicole Daedone, founder and Chief Executive Officer of OneTaste Incorporated, graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's degree in Gender Communications. In 1995, Daedone founded 111 Minna Gallery, an avant-garde event space and gallery still thriving in San Francisco's SoMa (South of Market) community, where she served as owner for a year.
In 2004, Nicole Daedone launched OneTaste, a San Francisco-based company that has pioneered what she has deemed the "slow-sex movement." As CEO, she oversees the entire corporate culture, which involves setting company policies, overseeing a team of seven executive officers, and leading OneTaste's public classes out of the Hilton Hotel.
The core of Nicole Daedone's unique practice is called Orgasmic Meditation, or OM for short, a practice involving two partners and taking 15 minutes. In this practice, a woman lies naked from the waist down and is stroked in a deliberate manner by her partner (usually male). Unlike the typical sexual experience, the end result of Nicole Daedone's OM practice is not necessarily climax, but a shared experience.
In May of 2011, Nicole Daedone released her first book, titled Slow Sex: The Art and Craft of the Female Orgasm. The book, which takes the female experience as its focus, expounds at length on the technique and philosophy of OM. Containing a 10-day OM starter program, Nicole Daedone's book also features exercises to improve other aspects of couples' sex lives, including Slow Oral for Him/Her and Slow Intercourse. For her work on this book and as CEO of OneTaste, Nicole Daedone has been featured in such media outlets as The New York Times, Time.com, and NPR, among others.
